Jakarta: Xiaomi officially launched the first tablet of the Redmi lineup, titled Redmi Pad, in Indonesia. This entry-level tablet is said to be capable of powerful performance, as well as the best audio-visual capabilities in its class.
“Since its inception, tablets have been able to become one of the complementary ecosystems for smartphones to boost productivity and entertainment. This cannot be separated from the screen size of the tablet which is larger but much more practical and reading laptops,” said Stephanie Sicilia, Associate Marketing Director of Xiaomi Indonesia.
Redmi Pad features a 10.61-inch LCD screen and is protected by a layer of Gorilla Glass protection and has a resolution of 2000 x 1200 pixels, a refresh rate of 90Hz and a brightness level of up to 400 nits.

Redmi Pad’s screen is equipped with a Blue Light filter and has received TUV Rheinland and SGS Low Visual Fatigue certification, thus this tablet is declared by Xiaomi as safe for use by children.
As for the kitchen track, the Redmi Pad is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, paired with 6GB of RAM that can be increased up to 2GB, as well as 128GB of internal storage, with support for microSD slots up to to 1TB.
Xiaomi also said that for the Indonesian market it will only bring one variant with a combination of RAM and internal storage, in two color choices i.e. Graphite Gray and Moonlight Sliver.
This Redmi Pad is also supported by a battery with a capacity of 8,000mAh which is claimed to be able to accompany the user’s activities for up to 21 hours while watching videos. Furthermore, this battery is also supported by 18W fast charging technology.
As for the camera, Xiaomi has equipped the Redmi Pad with an 8 MP resolution front camera. This camera is said to have a viewing angle of 105 degrees and comes with the FocusFrame feature, which has the ability to adjust so that the user can stay in the frame.
In addition to the front camera, Xiaomi has also equipped the Redmi Pad with a rear camera with the same resolution. This tablet is also supported by the Dolby Atmos feature, which consists of two speakers on the top of the device and two more on the bottom.
For information, this device uses Android 12 OS wrapped in MIUI 13 for Pad. In Indonesia, Xiaomi markets the Redmi Pad at an affordable price which is IDR 3,499,000.
Redmi Pad can be ordered online at Mi.com, Tokopedia, Shopee, Lazada, Blibli and Akulaku, as well as offline at Xiaomi Store, Xiaomi Shop and Erafone starting November 25, 2022.
