Xiaomi Announces Powerful Power Bank That Charges Cell Phones and Laptops | Cell Phones and Tablets

The branch of Xiaomi in India announced the launch of the new Mi Hyper Sonic power bank, which has 20,000 mAh of capacity, enough charge for four or five high-end smartphones or even a notebook. However, the accessory has no launch date or price forecast for the final consumer, since the company started this Friday (30) the crowdfunding. In it, support for the project costs around R$ 245.

The portable charger has a simple design with a matte surface and rounded corners. If on the one hand its appearance resembles an external hard drive, its measurements resemble a power source from old devices.

The website XDA Developers points out that 20,000 mAh power banks are nothing new, and can be found in droves in India and China. However, the novelty brought by Mi Hyper Sonic is its fast charge capacity, with an output of 50 Watts for cell phones and up to 45 Watts for laptops, as long as they have USB Power Delivery 3.0.

According to the company’s announcement, such a power bank may be able to fully supply the battery of a Mi 11X smartphone in 1 hour and 5 minutes. Furthermore, the Lenovo L480 notebook could be charged in just 2 hours and 27 minutes. The device itself would take up to 3 hours and 50 minutes to get a full charge.

So that more than one electronic can be recharged at the same time, the Mi Power Bank Hyper Sonic will have two USB-A ports and a USB-C port, compatible with the latest smartphones.
