Technodaily – Xiaomi has announced a global expansion for HyperOS, replacing the widely known MIUI.

The debut of this operating system occurred at the same time as the launch of Xiaomi 14 in October 2023, and now Xiaomi has detailed its plans to introduce HyperOS globally.

According to information from GSM Arena, HyperOS will begin to be implemented globally in the first quarter of 2024.

This update will cover several Xiaomi device models, including Xiaomi 13 Ultra, Xiaomi 13 Pro, Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13T Pro, Xiaomi 13T, Redmi Note 12, Redmi Note 12S, and Xiaomi Pad 6.

Poco, as part of the Xiaomi ecosystem, will also get the update, with the Poco F5 being the first Poco model confirmed to get HyperOS.

HyperOS, although remaining an Android Open Source Project, will be integrated with Vela, Xiaomi’s platform for the Internet of Things (IoT).

Xiaomi Global Vice President, Alvin Tse, has stated that HyperOS will gradually replace MIUI, starting with its installation on the latest flagship series, Xiaomi 14.
