Xiaomi announces 38 euro Redmi Watch in China – Tablets and Phones – News

Xiaomi has announced the Redmi Watch, the converted 38 euros, in China, the first smartwatch to be released under the name of the subsidiary brand. Previously, there were rumors about a possible Mi Watch Lite that Xiaomi would like to release under its own name.

From Redmi Watch has a 1.4 “screen of unknown type with a resolution of 320×320 pixels. The clock measures 41x35mm and is a maximum of 11.9mm thick with the heart rate monitor. Besides a heart rate monitor there is also a gyroscope, magnetometer and a light sensor. Xiaomi put nfc in the watch, presumably for mobile payments.

The clock is 5ATM waterproof for use under water up to fifty meters and the housing weighs 35 grams and it contains a 230mAh battery. The Redmi Watch will be released in China immediately for 299 yuan, currently converted to about 38 euros.

The specs are very similar to those of the US approved Mi Watch Lite. The manufacturer released its first smartwatch in Europe this fall: the 99 euros Mi Watch with a round screen. The Mi Watch Lite from the inspection has packaging that has been translated into European languages, such as German and Italian. It is therefore obvious that the Redmi Watch will be released as Mi Watch Lite at a later date.
