With Qualcomm which has just announced a new variant of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, a number of brands cell phone also announced their upcoming mobile phone candidate featuring the chipset. Temporary Xiaomi which is usually the first brand to display the latest Snapdragon flagship SoC, seems to have to get a strong competitor. Where Lenovo is the competitor in question.
Not long ago, Xiaomi CEO and founder Lei Jun shared a post on his Weibo microblogging website account. In his post on social media, Lei Jun even shared a long message to his customers.
Reported from Gizmochina (3/12) Lei Jun stated that Xiaomi is working on polishing the performance of the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset in the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series. The executive also emphasized that the initial launch is not only to build the company’s image, but it aims to stay true to its commitment to their customers in offering an end-user experience over the upcoming flagship devices.
Following this statement, Lenovo’s General Manager, Chen Jin, also commented on this on his Weibo account. Chen Jin stated that the December 9 launch conference for its Moto Edge X30 series, which also features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, is not just for showing off. Furthermore, Chen Jin also revealed that the Edge X30 series will be officially available through the first sale in China on December 15th. In other words, it basically confirms that the device will be the first mass-produced phone to feature the new flagship chipset.
