At the very end of the week, Counterpoint Reasearch announced that Xiaomi is now number one in the world, after in June it managed to overtake Samsung in terms of sales of smartphones.

The company is implementing an aggressive growth strategy in Europe and recently even opened its first store in Sofia. And very effectively manages to capture the market, which Huawei is no longer able to serve.
After Xiaomi became one of the most popular brands in the middle class of phones, it is now entering the premium segment with models such as the Mi 11 Ultra and is beginning to attract more solvent consumers.
In addition, the company is gaining millions of fans with products such as the sports band Mi Band or Mi Robot Vacuum, which draw the attention of more and more diverse users to the brand’s portfolio.

According to Counterpoint, the main reasons for Xiaomi’s rapid progress in the second third of 2021 are two – the attractive and at the same time affordable phones that the company launched on the market last year, and the COVID crisis.
Apparently, the outflow at Samsung is due not only to the poor performance of the Galaxy S21 series models, but also to the sudden rise of infected people in Vietnam, where some of the gadgets of the Korean company are produced.
