Xiaomi 15 Series Launch: Unveiling the Ultimate Smartphone with Snapdragon 8 Elite and Innovative Camera Features

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The Xiaomi 15 series was officially launched in China with 4 versions. All models are regular, Pro, Custom Edition and Limited Edition.

This flagship series relies on the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset from Qualcomm which is increasingly sophisticated with a second generation 3nm manufacturing process. On paper, the CPU performance increased by 42% and the GPU increased by 44%.

Xiaomi 15 Pro

Xiaomi 15 Pro has a curved display on the side. The frame is made of aluminum and the back has a glossy camera panel design.

Xiaomi 15 Pro comes in Grey, White, Green and Liquid Silver Edition.

This most expensive model has an improved cooling system and their range is extended by 14%. The battery has a jumbo capacity of 6,100mAh, 1,220mAh more than before.

There are three Leica cameras on the back with focal lengths between 14mm and 120mm, making it more flexible for different shooting styles, from portrait to landscape.

The main camera offers an f/1.44 aperture that accepts more light, a faster shutter speed, and a more natural background blur.

The telephoto lens remains the same as the Xiaomi 14 Ultra with the Sony IMX858 sensor. It has a periscope feature that allows lossless zoom up to 10x.

On the software side, Xiaomi combines several algorithms to produce UltraRAW photo results, and includes digital zoom up to 20x.

At the same time, the regular Xiaomi 15 has a battery capacity of 5,400mAh, which is an increase of 790mAh compared to its predecessor.

This phone has a 6.36 inch screen with a thin 1.38mm bezel. The maximum brightness level reaches 3200nits with an adjustable refresh rate of 1-120Hz.

Xiaomi 15 Custom Edition and Limited Edition

The Custom Edition version has a very clear frame option with black-and-white color options and three user-customizable palettes.

Xiaomi created 20 standard color options and they can be combined in 40 different types.

Meanwhile, the Limited Edition is designed to be more premium with the central side of the frame having diamond and shiny accents. On the back, there is a vegan leather material and you can choose between 3 colors: white, gray, orange.
