The Xiaomi T series has always represented upper middle class phones, which could be described as “trimmed flagships” of their brand. At least the new Xiaomi 14T Pro cannot be described that way anymore. The phone already has practically everything we would expect from the equipment of a real flagship. It all starts with the design, which is very similar to the Xiaomi 14 this year, but the camera lenses are not hidden under a single glass. We then have matte glass on the back, IP68 water resistance and the flat frame of the device is this time made of aluminum, while the power button is stylishly textured.
Xiaomi 14T Pro
The typical 5000mAh battery has retained ultra-fast 120W charging, and 50W wireless charging is also newly added. However, this year, the charger is missing in the sales package. Everything around charging is controlled by its own chips as usual, and there must be three Leica cameras on the back like last year. We’re looking at the new 50MP main camera with optical stabilization that comes from the Xiaomi 14 and 14 Pro. It complements last year’s 12 Mpx wide-angle sensor from the 13T without focus and a new 50 Mpx telephoto lens with 2.6x optical zoom, which, however, also promises a lossless 5x zoom. Leica modes and calibrations are a matter of course, and we also have 4K video with the front 32 Mpx camera. All this with Android 14 and the Hyper OS superstructure, where there are new AI functions, Circle to Search from Google and 4 years of major updates and 5 years of security are promised.
As for the cheaper Xiaomi 14T model, it shares the design and most of the equipment. The difference is the plastic frame or the Dimensity 8300 Ultra processor, which we know for example from the POCO X6 Pro. Charging is down to 67W and wireless charging is missing. The main 50 Mpx camera is then significantly smaller than last year. Technically, it is a deterioration, but it uses more modern technology, so it might surprise. Likewise, the 50 Mpx telephoto lens here only has 2x zoom with 4x lossless digital.

The last difference between the models is the memory size. The Xiaomi 14T will be available in a basic version of 12/256GB, while it has several color versions and one even has a faux leather back. The price of this piece reached 14,990 crowns this year. The better, practically flagship Xiaomi 14T Pro has a 12/512GB base for 20,999 crowns, which puts it far above the price of the discounted Xiaomi 14 after half a year. , so you don’t have much of a choice. In addition, the first two weeks of sales on the 14T Pro are 3,500 crowns off and the 14T is at least 2,500 crowns, which definitely raises the value of the phones considerably. Especially in the case of a better piece.
