Xiaomi 14 Ultra: Speculations on the Curved Display and Top Cameras

The mysterious Xiaomi 14 Ultra attracts interested parties in the first batch of speculations
They promise a curved 2K display or a main camera with a 1″ photo chip from Sony
He probably won’t get to the Czech Republic this time either

The Chinese company Xiaomi is among the technological leaders, which it proves every year with its model with the nickname Ultra. We have been waiting for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra for some time now, while the information about what this smartphone could contain is very fragmentary for now. Now the Gizmochina server has published speculations from a reliable source called Digital Chat Station, and the mentioned parameters do not look bad at all.

The main role is a curved display and top cameras

According to him, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra should continue the trend set by its predecessor and, like him, offer customers a giant 1″ Sony LYT900 photo chip, i.e. an optimized version of the well-known IMX9898 from previous models. It will be complemented by a trio of 50MP cameras, two of which will be telephoto lenses with 3x and 5x zoom, the remaining camera will be wide-angle. Apparently, Macro should get a camera with 3x zoom. All the cameras will most likely be mounted in a circular photo module, as in the case of previous generations, and the hallmark of the Leica brand will probably not be missing.

Inside the phone, there should be a chipset from Qualcomm, namely the powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. The front side will most likely be dominated by a curved display with a 2K resolution, which in its entirety will only be disturbed by the hole for sensors and the front selfie camera. However, according to Digital Chat Station, there is no need to worry – the curvature should be minimal.

Don’t overlook

As for the planned launch, Xiaomi is expected to unveil its beefed-up flagship as early as this November. How much it will differ from its predecessor is a question, however, Xiaomi will most likely not decide to make big changes. A big question mark also hangs over its possible availability on the old continent – although we were able to test its predecessor, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra, in the editorial office, it unfortunately did not reach the Czech Republic via the official route and most likely will not, which considering the price of 1,399 euros (approx. 34 thousand crowns) a great pity.
