Recently, Xiaomi officially launched the Xiaomi 13T series of professional photography phones in Hong Kong. Among them, the Xiaomi 13T, the sub-flagship standard model, is priced as low as $3,299, less than HK$3,330. It provides pre-loaded Leica imaging technology, multiple sets of film simulations, and three-dimensional Set “Master Lens” portrait shooting special effects.
Since the opening price of Xiaomi 13T in Hong Kong has been slashed to the level of mid-range mobile phones, it is difficult for any camera phone to compete with it in terms of performance/price ratio. The relatively close model is the standard model from China equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 from the same manufacturer. The 8+128 version of Xiaomi 13 was priced at around $3,880 to $3,980 at street stores such as Sham Shui Po’s Sham City and Prince Edward Center when this article was published. Xiaomi’s new product Xiaomi 13T Pro is also on sale at a good price. The Hong Kong bank offers a 12+512 storage configuration. The starting price is $4,599, which is less than HK$4,600. It has MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ and high-speed UFS 4.0 with the same performance as the 8G2 chip. Large-capacity storage, a 5,000mAh battery and 120W GaN flash charging, coupled with Leica triple lenses for outstanding image performance, the performance-price ratio is equally excellent.
If you want to find a product on the market that can compete with the Xiaomi 13T Pro in affordability, you still have to look at the Chinese version of the same manufacturer, the Xiaomi 13 Pro. When this article was published, the street price of the Bank of China 8+128 version was as low as $4,980, which is less than HK$5,000. Although its storage space is not as good as the Bank of Hong Kong Xiaomi 13T Pro with 512GB UFS 4.0, it is better than the current top-notch configuration.
