Xiaomi 13, 13 Pro with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Leica camera launched in China

SULTEN METRO-Xiaomi 13 series was launched in China 11 December 2022. This includes the regular and Pro variants. The device packs significant improvements and comes as a successor to last year’s Xiaomi 12 and 12 Pro.

The Xiaomi 13 duo features an AMOLED display, an integrated fingerprint scanner, and a center-aligned punch hole. According to smartphones offers a refresh rate of 120Hz, a peak brightness of 1,900 nits, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and HLG support.

The regular variant has a 6.36-inch flat screen with FHD+ resolution while the Pro model offers a 6.73-inch QHD+ display with curved edges.

The Xiaomi 13 sports a boxy form factor while the Pro model has a sleek design. Both devices have a square camera module on the back panel and are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance.

The smartphone also has nano-skin technology which supposedly makes the back panel easier to clean. In the audio section, smartphones equipped with stereo speakers tuned by Dolby Atmos.

In the photography department, the Xiaomi 13 series has Leica-branded triple rear cameras. In the regular variant, the setup consists of a 50MP OIS-enabled Sony IMX800 sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 10MP telephoto lens.

The Pro model has a 1-inch 50MP Sony IMX989 primary lens paired with a 50MP ultra-wide angle and a 50MP telephoto lens. According to smartphones it has a front 16MP selfie snapper.
