Xiaomi 12T vs Xiaomi 12 camera comparison, which is better?

JAKARTA – Xiaomi 12T introduced in Indonesia with quite affordable price. That is IDR 6,599,000 (8GB/256GB) in black and blue colors. The position of the Xiaomi 12T is higher than the Xiaomi 12 Lite 5G (8GB + 256GB) which costs IDR 5,799,000.

But, below Xiaomi 12 (8/256GB) which costs IDR 9,999,000 and Xiaomi 12 Pro (12+256GB) which costs IDR 12,999,000.

Interestingly, on the camera side, the Xiaomi 12T is very competitive. It can also be paired with the more expensive Xiaomi 12.

The Xiaomi 12T uses a 108 MP, f/1.7 main camera with an ISOCELL HM6 sensor. Indeed, it has been equipped with an optical image stabilizer (OIS) to make the image more stable. Additionally, there is an 8 MP, f/2.2 ultrawide camera and a 2 MP, f/2.4 macro camera. For the selfie camera, use 20 MP, f/2.2, (wide).

This setup is slightly different from the Xiaomi 12 which uses a 50MP (f/1.88) main camera, 13MP (f/2.4) ultra wide angle and 5MP telemacro camera.

So how do the photo results compare?

In this first photo, you can see the color difference in the sunny-side-up eggs. The results of the Xiaomi 12 photo (left) look more washed out and lack detail.
Meanwhile, the photo of the Xiaomi 12T looks yellower and sharper.

In the second photo, you can see that the two cameras are capable of shooting bokeh very well. The difference is in the brown color of the cappuccino produced by both cameras. On Xiaomi 12 it looks paler, and on Xiaomi 12T it is more prominent.

In this third photo, the two cameras are once again able to capture balanced, hard-to-distinguish results. For example, from the grains of water in the glass.
This shows the quality of the Xiaomi 12T camera, although the price is much more affordable, it is difficult to distinguish it from the flagship level Xiaomi 12.

Now, for the ultrawide camera in the fourth photo, you can see that there is a difference between the Xiaomi 12’s 13MP (f/2.4) ultrawide and the Xiaomi 12T’s 8MP ultrawide.
The photo results on the Xiaomi 12 come out more in color than on the Xiaomi 12T.
