As usual, Xiaomi launches its high-end smartphones first in China and then globally. This time it was no different, and the Xiaomi 12 were presented in China on December 28, and are now reaching global markets.
The presentation of the new equipment is scheduled for March 15 (Tuesday), and two smartphones are expected: Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro. Website 91mobiles has shared what it claims are official press renders, which reveal the full design.
Global Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro keep Chinese version design
Smartphones seem to keep the design of the Chinese versions. This means that we will have a very sober frontal area, only interrupted by a central punch-hole for the front camera. At the back we see the module with three cameras, with the main sensor having a greater preponderance.
Recall that the Xiaomi 12 and Xiaomi 12 Pro are among the first smartphones to be equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. And although they have a similar design, there are differences that make them focused on different audiences.
Xiaomi 12 has a 6.28-inch AMOLED flat screen with 120Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution. This one comes to compete directly with the iPhone 13 in size, and will have a 50 MP Sony IMX766 main camera with optical image stabilization. The battery will be 4500mAh with 67W (wired) and 50W (wireless) charging.
As for the Xiaomi 12 Pro, it will have a 6.73-inch curved AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. It will have three 50 MP cameras, and the battery is 4600mAh with 120W fast charging.
