Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, November 9. On November 9, President Xi Jinping sent a congratulatory message to Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni on the 70th anniversary of the Kingdom of Cambodia’s independence.
Xi Jinping pointed out that in recent years, the Cambodian people have adhered to a development path that suits their own national conditions and have continuously made new achievements in national construction. As a traditional friendly neighbor, China will, as always, firmly support Cambodia in maintaining stability, promoting development and improving people’s livelihood.
Xi Jinping emphasized that this year marks the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Cambodia and the Year of China-Cambodia Friendship. We met cordially in Beijing and Hangzhou to jointly draw up a blueprint for a community with a shared future between China and Cambodia. I attach great importance to the development of China-Cambodia relations and am willing to work with King Norodom Sihamoni to strengthen strategic guidance on the relations between the two countries and jointly build a high-quality, high-level and high-standard China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.
On the same day, Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, sent a congratulatory message to Hun Sen, Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party.
