Being one of Nintendo’s backbones when it comes to exclusive JRPG games for it, it seems like it’s no secret that Monolith Soft is indeed working on a new project for the Switch. The success of the second series and the process of remastering the first series only leaves one big question – whether he will continue the main series or end up continuing the “X” series which has a slightly different approach. So the most surprising announcement of the morning, Monolith Soft turned out to be choosing the first option.
Monolith Soft and Nintendo finally officially announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3 at Nintendo Direct this morning. Still coming with the concept of an open world full of mystery to explore, this third series will contain the two main protagonists – Nioh and Mio who are involved in a great war between two great countries named Keves and Agnus. Together with the other companion characters that come from him, the two must be involved in a big story that focuses on the theme of “life”. Monolith also mentions this world will link the future of Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles 2.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 will be released for Nintendo Switch in September 2022, still without an exact date. What do you think? Looks interesting?
