Xénia Krizsán, who has been struggling with an injury this year, finished fourth in the women’s heptathlon at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, achieving the best position of her life. Krizsá was already a World Cup silver medalist among the U20s (2012), but his current performance exceeded all expectations.
The 30-year-old Krizsán was the first competitor on Saturday morning, and he was the first to hear the rhyme “ria, ria, Hungária” at the National Athletic Center, which, according to his own admission, almost made him cry. His personal best is 6,651 points, which he will be able to approach at next year’s Olympics. By the way, it finished in 13th place in Tokyo.
