Chinese construction equipment giant XCMG turned heads at the world’s premier construction machinery trade fair, bauma China 2024, unveiling a powerful new lineup of 17 excavator models and four key component sets. The showcase highlighted XCMG’s commitment to sustainability and its dedication to providing customized, high-performance solutions for the global market.

The company has made significant strides in developing energy-efficient electric excavators, with notable models like the XE19EV and XE27EV turning heads. Specifically designed for the European market, these electric excavators have undergone rigorous testing and have already received high praise from operators for their performance and ease of use. "European operators who tried the machines highly praised them for their excellent performance and ease of use," according to XCMG.
XCMG also understands the nuances of regional demands, particularly in Europe, where mini excavators are highly sought after. Models like the XE35E, XE55E, and XE80E were prime examples of XCMG’s responsiveness to these needs.
These excavators offer versatility and power, making them ideal for construction projects in confined urban spaces or even indoor projects.

But XCMG didn’t just stop at standard models. They went further by showcasing specialized machinery designed for specific applications. The XE125F excavator, with its unique design tailored for logging and splitting work, caught the attention of attendees.
The versatility of XCMG’s offerings continued with the diesel-hybrid hydraulic excavator XE800WDM. This model allows users to select power modes based on operating conditions, demonstrating XCMG’s commitment to providing adaptable solutions.
For demolition work, XCMG unveiled the compact yet powerful PCR300 demolition robot, showcasing its ability to pack a six-ton punch in a mere two-ton frame. They also presented the XE155WECR hydraulic wheel excavator, ideal for tight spaces thanks to its remarkably small 1.75-meter tail swing radius.
XCMG’s display wasn’t just about finished machines; it also highlighted their advanced component technologies. A prominent feature was
an exhibit showcasing four impressive crawler sub-vehicles. These included a 900 HP bulldozer crawler, a mini excavator crawler, a temperature-resistant crawler, and a massive crawler designed for a 400-ton excavator.
The sheer size and robustness of the 400-ton excavator crawler impressed attendees.
Made from super-hardened alloy steel and subjected to special heat treatment, this crawler promised exceptional durability and resistance to wear.
