Xbox would speak to third-parties for exclusives

Xbox apparently works with “several large third-party studios” for Xbox One and Series X | S exclusives.

This is how Jez Corden, senior editor of Windows Central, suggests on the Xbox Two podcast. Reddit.

Corden said:

“I know Microsoft is very involved with some big third-party studios right now to get exclusives. Some of the projects I’ve seen featured the kind of video games that I would expect to be kind of on the level, kind of where Bungie was with Halo in the past.

The 10-year plan is something similar to what Asobo does with Flight Simulator. Microsoft keeps moving forward. I’ve seen things that are years ahead that are incredibly impressive that made me think that some of the studios involved could end up being acquired due to the scale of some of these projects, ”he added.

But it’s so early that these things may never come to fruition. You know, I always think of Scalebound, Phantom Dust, these video games that were advertised and never appeared.

More video games than we know of that never take off, you know, or make it past the prototype stage. I don’t like ads that are really over the top because they lead to disappointment, but you know, for the sake of the podcast and for you guys, I’ll just say that Microsoft is always planning things.

It’s not like they bought Bethesda and that’s okay, we’re done now. They have not finished. Some of the things they explored are just crazy. “

As always, the information is not official yet.
