Microsoft is working on a new night mode for Xbox consoles and they have come so far that yesterday they started testing it with the Xbox Insiders ring Alpha Skip-Ahead.
Lots of tweaks
The new night mode allows Xbox owners to dim the screens, the brightness of the controller and even the Xbox power button.
The night mode comes with lots of customization options that include different dimming levels and optional blue light filter. Microsoft also allows Xbox owners to dim the LED brightness of the controllers in night mode and dim or turn off the light in the Xbox power button itself. You can also set the Xbox to switch to system dark mode and disable HDR when night mode is enabled.
Solar adjustment
Night mode can be activated automatically by setting up a schedule. It can be set up manually at given times, or it can, for example, be activated at sunset and deactivated at sunrise.
Microsoft is testing this with Xbox Insiders in the coming weeks before it soon hits all Xbox consoles.
