Until now, developer Certain Affinity has mainly been a support studio, helping other developers make games. For example, since its foundation in 2006, the company has already contributed to quite a few major titles, including Left 4 Dead, Call of Duty Black Ops, DOOM in Halo Infinite† The developer has only made two games from scratch in all that time: Age of Booty and Crimson Alliance for Xbox Arcade.
Certain Affinity is now only working on a new, original IP and possibly its biggest game yet. That appears from a vacancy that the developer has put on its website. Much information about the new game is just not given by the studio.
Monster Hunter-esque game in the works?
Although Certain Affinity itself is tight-lipped about the new project, according to journalist Jeff Grubb, something is already known. Earlier this year the well-known well known that Certain Affinity is working on a game that shows many similarities with the Monster Hunter games from Capcom.
So it looks like that’s the original IP the studio is working on. It’s good news for Game Pass members, too, as Grubb says the game would come straight to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass come.
