“Xbox Series X|S Interface: All the New Features and Improvements”

The new Xbox Series X|S interface has already been presented and Xbox Insiders can now enjoy it. Microsoft confirmed a few weeks ago that it was stopping testing of the console interface to try to add the improvements claimed by the community, and now they have confirmed that testing the new version of the interface is now available for members of the Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha ring de Xbox Insiders.

The most notorious thing that we can appreciate in the new interface of Xbox Series X | S is that Microsoft has chosen to redesign tiles following community requests. Now, the interface shows us a much cleaner background, in which the tiles go down considerably on the screen, starting to be present from 2/4 of the screen, contrary to what happened before, where the icons were present practically from the highest part of it.

However, this is not the only novelty that has been included with this new Xbox Series X | S interface. Microsoft has added some shortcuts to the top of it, in which we will have access to the library of games and applications, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, the search and the configuration of the console. This means a great improvement in accessibility and speed for the user, since we won’t have to navigate through the console’s menu to access its most used functions.

Another novelty of this new Xbox Series X | S interface is the game art feature that has been included. What does this mean? Well, when we pass over the icon of a game, our wallpaper will momentarily change to that of that game, as for example we can see in the cover image of this news, with the case of Ori and the Will of the Wisps.

Finally, the last of the innovations that has been included is related to the “My games & apps” app. Microsoft has decided to update the icon of this app so that it notifies us when there is something new that requires our attention. For example, we could get a notice when a game requires an update, or when a game we have on the wish list drops in price.

For now, this new Xbox Series X | S interface is in beta phase, so it is still subject to change. However, it seems that Microsoft is already beginning to find the key to what the community was looking for, so if the feedback is positive, it should not take long for us to have this new version of the console interface among us, after almost a year since it was announced that work would be done on it.
