Microsoft announced the new expansion cards for its Xbox Series X and S consoles. The new Seagate will be 512 GB and 2 TB that increase the options with the existing 1 TB that went on the market in 2020.
The existing rumors and leaks about the new expansion options were correct and the US company presented the two new options to expand your storage.
The launch for the United States of the 512 GB unit is scheduled for mid-November and will cost $ 139.99 (about 2,800 MXN at the exchange rate), while the 2 TB will arrive at the beginning of December with a price of 399.99 dollars (about 8,000 MXN at the exchange rate).
Xbox remarked that this launch is focused on the need of each player to have their library of games with the largest capacity, since between the Game Pass and 4 compatible generations it generates this need so as not to have to install and uninstall due to storage.
The companies (Microsoft and Seagate) have not yet confirmed the date when expansion cards will arrive in other countries, but it is expected to be in the short term to Mexico.
Microsoft has an agreement with Seagate, this creates a problem when looking for other solutions or alternatives for storage, this being justified in that only they have Xbox Velocity Architecture, responsible for providing high rates of data transfers.
