Xbox Series X does not support 4k @ 60 FPS, but fortunately we do not have to wait for the PC version

Forza studio Turn 10 has revealed that Xbox Series X, Microsoft’s most powerful console, will not be able to run Forza Horizon 5 in 4K and 60 FPS.

30 and 60 FPS modes are planned

Instead, it will offer a performance mode that activates 60 FPS in combination with a lower resolution, perhaps 1440p.

The Xbox Series S will run the game at 1080p @ 30fps or even lower resolution to reach 60 FPS.

This is how to play Forza Horizon 5 – the game launches on November 9:

We do not have to wait for the PC version this time – we will know more about this edition later

Forza Horizon 5 is the first true next-generation game for the new generation of Xbox with landscape graphics from Mexico that is very close to photorealism.

Ray tracing is in place on the cars, Turn 10 explains in the FAQ.

They mention little about the PC version other than that the game will be launched on Game Pass and Steam at the same time as the launch for consoles. They say they will reveal what will be possible with the Windows version later.

Horizon 5 also supports cross-play and cross-save against Xbox Series, One and Windows 10 as well as Xbox Cloud Gaming. Steam gets support for cross-play, but not cross-save against Xbox.
