In the now famous interview with Kotaku, Phil Spencer, the head of Xbox, revealed an advantage not to be underestimated of Xbox Series S. What many see as the weakened version of Xbox Series X on several occasions it might have faster uploads of the premium model. Being able to count on the same SSD and the same data management architecture, the graphics will make the difference. Loading textures and assets in 4K, in fact, takes time.
For this reason, despite the superior computing power, the fact that Xbox Series X has to handle graphics in Ultra HD it will make it a bit slower to load games. This kind of data, in fact, should weigh a lot more than their version in 1440p, which is the resolution at which Series S will run the games. At least this is what will happen on paper, since then it will be the optimization of these processes by the developers that will make the difference.
In any case, when there will be, it will be a few seconds, given that solid state hard drives still guarantee drastically better performance than we are used to on current generation consoles.
As you can see from the video below the difference between the new and old generation will be noticeable. But the little one from Microsoft seems to have, in this case, a further small advantage over its older sister.
