Last week, we finally got the good news that the masterpiece Baldur’s Gate III is coming to the Xbox Series S/X this fall (it’s already out on PC and on September 6th for PlayStation 5). There is one problem though.
As it turns out, the Xbox Series S version will miss out on split-screen play, as the feature will be removed in this release (it will be included in the Xbox Series X).Most people probably thought that was the end of the story, but luckily, the official Xbox account on the X decided to clarify things over the weekend, explaining that they will“Continuing to work with Larian to explore adding split screen after the Series S launch”.
Basically, it’s still possible that the Xbox Series S will get split-screen, but if that happens, it will be after launch.
