Xbox Series S ‘spanks’ PS5 according to God of War dad

During the day today, Microsoft raised the curtain its Xbox Series S, the “scaled-down” version of its next next-gen platform due out later this year.

The console will in fact be launched at the price of 299,99€ for the Italian market starting from November 10, 2020. It must be said that the same date should also be that of the launch of the Xbox Series X, the “big sister” of the new Xbox family.

Needless to say, the Series S announcement rocked the web, especially the ever-hot social networks, with a large number of comments from users around the world. Among these, too David Jaffe, historical original creator of the saga of God of War.

Jaffe has in fact published a video on YouTube, in which he expresses all his enthusiasm for Microsoft’s announcement, which – according to the author – would have “spanked Sony”, still reluctant to reveal the date and price of his PlayStation 5:

Jaffe’s reasoning is simple: Xbox Series S it is offered at a price that Sony will struggle to match, in addition to the fact that it will be possible to enter the new generation for only $ 25 a month, including access to Game Pass and Xbox Live Gold in one go.

In any case, we recall that Series S will have a tower design similar to Series X, but with some substantial differences, in addition of course to the smaller dimensions and a white color, together with a perforated section in the shape of a circle on the front (useful for the cooling down).

The console will indeed only digital, con performance a 1440p until 120 fps, ray-tracing support, custom 512GB SSD, 4K streaming media playback, 4K upscaling for the in-game experience variable rate shading, variable refresh rate and very low latency.

Xbox Series S will be available in Italy from 10 November 2020.
