It will be easier than ever to start Game Pass.
—
Yesterday, Windows 11 was unveiled and after the initial impressions about the operating system in general, Xbox is now slamming the door on what new Windows will mean for gaming. A real boost, is the promise.
It highlights “auto-HDR”, which gives us HDR on DirectX 11 games (or higher), where we previously had to settle for SDR (standard dynamic range). The technology will be the same as in the Xbox Series X and S. With the new technology “Directstorage”, also known from the Xbox Series, and with an SSD that keeps the measure, the games will also load faster than ever.
As of Windows 11, the Xbox app will be built into the operating system and thus it will be “easier than ever” to access the Game Pass library. Those who prefer to buy their games are of course happy that the eternally reviled Microsoft Store is being completely rebuilt.
To say “Microsoft Store” and ” works well” in the same sense feels almost surreal, but we hope that Microsoft will keep that promise. Windows 11 is expected to be released this fall.
