Microsoft has just confirmed a very interesting move. The company is taking advantage of the great interest in demo versions and wants to allow developers to develop special editions of the games. A similar project was presented a few weeks ago by Sony.
In PlayStation Plus Premium, players receive access to specially prepared demos, thanks to which customers can play for 2 or even 5 hours in such productions as Cyberpunk 2077 or Horizon Forbidden West.
Microsoft apparently wants to propose a similar proposal and the corporation presented Project Moorcroft – company using a new proposal “Will provide Xbox Game Pass members with joy and the opportunity to discover new, curated demos of upcoming games”.
The corporation intends to launch a new service within the next year and wants to use it to provide developers from around the world the opportunity to “obtain data on their games and build interest” in productions.
“Participating developers will be able to see what their demos are doing, and we will reward creators who participate by giving them the opportunity to bring their creativity to Xbox and reach new audiences with Game Pass.”
Microsoft’s proposal will of course be combined with the Xbox Game Pass, because it is subscription members who will receive access to new demos, and developers will use the acquired knowledge to improve their new productions.
