Xbox Game Pass could lose a big game later this month

A new rumor circulating online claims that the Xbox Game Pass subscription service could be missing out on a big game later this month.

Reddit user SavBeeing noted that the 10% Xbox Game Pass discount for Yakuza: Like a Dragon DLC will expire soon.

This could be an indication that the critically acclaimed Yakuza: Like a Dragon will be leaving the Xbox Game Pass lineup in the near future, either when this discount wears off or soon after.

This would be significant as Yakuza: Like a Dragon was one of the first Xbox Series X native releases, and the next-gen version was even a timed Xbox console exclusive.

This has yet to be confirmed, so fans need not worry just yet.

Yakuza: Like A Dragon DLCs show that the Game Pass discount will end in 26 days, so in 26 the game might be getting removed from Game Pass. This game is amazing, play it before it’s gone. from XboxGamePass

Yakuza: Like a Dragon was first added to Xbox Game Pass in June 2021. Many games tend to last on Xbox Game Pass for about a year after they’re first added to the service, so one would think that Like a Dragon would remain available. until June 2022.

However, there are cases where Xbox Game Pass games are removed before a year is up, so there’s still a chance that Yakuza: Like a Dragon could be part of the next batch of games leaving the service.

The good news is that Xbox Game Pass subscribers shouldn’t have to wait that long to find out for sure whether or not Yakuza: Like a Dragon is leaving Xbox Game Pass. When it comes to games leaving Xbox Game Pass, Microsoft tends to reveal more information around the 15th of the month, which means news about the situation could come tomorrow, April 15.
