Jim Ryan, CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment, hinted that the Sony is not considering Xbox Game Pass as a competitor. PS5 surpasses Microsoft’s service for Ryan. This whole thing was reported by Tom Henderson via Insider-Gaming.
An Insider-Gaming source, who wishes to remain anonymous because he cannot speak publicly about the information he knows, said Jim Ryan conducted a Q&A session with employees earlier this month in which he spoke about the competition in the market.
In response to a question about Xbox Game Pass, Jim Ryan was quoted as saying this “When we look at Game Pass, it seems like the Game Pass numbers are getting lower and lower. When we look at Game Pass, we’ve been selling more PS5s than we’re getting subscribers in two years, and we’ve been doing that for 6-7 years.”.
According to Ryan’s reports, “We are just under 50 million subscribers [ ed, estamos falando do PS Plus neste caso ] and there are at least 20, but there is still a lot of work to do to increase that number”..
Obviously this is a rumor and we have no way of verifying the sources of Insider-Gaming as they have remained anonymous. We can only report what is indicated and we remind you that it should be considered only a rumor.
