INDOZONE.ID – Valve’s announcement of its Handheld PC Gaming device, the Steam Deck, has indeed taken many gamers by surprise. How not, a device the size of a Nintendo Switch can be used to play AAA games.
With a price that is arguably not too expensive, the Steam Deck features a CPU made by AMD with a high performance that allows it to play almost all games available on Steam today.
The presence of the Steam Deck was not only welcomed by gamers, but also officials from video game companies such as Xbox and even its rival, Epic Games.
Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney congratulated Valve on the Steam Deck announcement, which was described as an ‘tremendous move’ from Valve.
Amazing move by Valve! A handheld PC/console hybrid running the SteamOS fork of Arch Linux, and it’s an open platform where users are free to install software or their choosing – including Windows and other stores. https://t.co/jf5TWUWGP5
