Xbox and Bethesda Games’ Starfield delayed until 2023

The biggest bet of Microsoft consoles in terms of upcoming releases is without a doubt Starfield which is being developed by Bethesda Games and unfortunately we will not be able to play it this year, but until 2023although it may not be such a bad thing since it is the most ambitious project by Xbox Game Studios so far.

Through social networks, the people of Bethesda released a statement unexpectedly announcing the delay of Starfield, which had a launch window for November 2022, but apparently will be arriving during the first half of next year.

Similarly, it is announced that Redfallwhich is being developed by Arkane Studios, will also be caught up in the same delay. Well, the game was also planned for 2022, however it will arrive during the first half of 2023.

“We have made the decision to delay the releases of Redfall and Starfield to the first half of 2023.

The teams at Arkane Austin (Redfall) and Bethesda Games Studios (StarField) have incredible ambitions for their games, and we want to make sure they get the best, most polished version of their games.

We want to thank everyone for the excitement over Redfall and Starfield. That energy is a big part of what inspires all of us each day and drives our own excitement for what we’re creating.

We can’t wait to share our first detailed look at gameplay for Redfall and Starfield.

Thanks for your support”.

As you will see, there are not very specific reasons regarding the delay of Starfield y Redfall more than the fact that they continue polishing both projects to deliver the best version of them. However, they talk about a detailed gameplay that we will be seeing very soon in the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase which will take place in June.

Does it make you sad that Bethesda has delayed Starfield until 2023? Or don’t you mind waiting a little longer?
