There are not a few times that we have informed you about how some emulators work on both Xbox One and Xbox Series more recently. Above all, due to the possibility of running additional software by putting the console in developer mode. Yes, it has a small cost, but it opens up a range of colors that you have never seen before. And it seems that a new emulator for Xbox 360, called Xenia, will soon be able to join these applications.
We warn that at the moment, we have no record that anyone has been able to test it on the console, but the one that has been ported to UWP format facilitates that application. It’s a matter of days until someone gets it up and running and we can share a tutorial. If you have doubts, you can visit the official page on GitHub where can we download it
If Xbox already emulates Xbox 360 games, what use would Xenia be?
Many will be wondering from the beginning. Microsoft has already managed to perfectly emulate almost 500 titles from the Xbox 360 catalog on Xbox One, including gems of the caliber of the first Red Dead Redemption or, now that it’s back, the entire Dead Space saga. But it is also true that many escaped from that possibility, and Xenia opens the doors to those lost games again.
Currently, Xenia supports almost 1500 Xbox 360 games, although many of them have problems, are missing features or have graphical errors. However, it also has over 300 titles that are perfectly playable from start to finish. So if you like to turn your Xbox Series into an emulator powerhouse, you’ll soon be able to add the Xbox 360 to your list.
