Coach Barcelona Xavi Hernandez praise performance Erik ten Hag Of Manchester United. Xavi thinks Ten Hag is capable of lifting MU after several difficult seasons.
Since being left by Sir Alex Ferguson, who retired almost 10 years ago, MU has gone through many ups and downs. Erik ten Hag becomes the fifth permanent manager charged with the task of restoring MU to the level of Sir Alex’s era.
So far, MU is showing positive signals with Ten Hag. In the Premier League, for example, MU has collected 46 points or only 12 points less than the total points earned last season with 15 matches remaining.
Xavi believes Ten Hag is the right manager to end MU’s difficult period. He saw a positive change from the current MU.
“In my mind I believe that somehow (turning around) United’s situation is not an easy job and he got it done,” Xavi said as reported by Sky Sports.
“They are excited again, the club, the fans and also the way they play. He changed the way they attack, defend, everything works well, so they are tough opponents for us and he is a very interesting coach.”
“I believe he is an attacking coach and he proved it in most of his matches. I believe he is a reference for attacking coaches who want this kind of football,” said Xavi.
Barcelona and Manchester United will face each other in the knockout phase play-offs Europa League. Barcelona will host first in the first leg at Camp Nou, Friday (17/2/2023) early morning WIB.
