Lionel Messi lives a sad moment with Paris Saint-Germain after saying goodbye to the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16 of the competition, so his former teammate and friend in Barcelona, Xavi Hernández, appeared to encourage him.
The bombastic arrival of La Pulga to the Parisian cast responded to the great desire of the club: to raise the orejona, however, twenty minutes of inspiration were enough for Karim Benzema and Real Madrid to bury the dream of the French.

“I have a friendly relationship with (Lionel) Messi and I have sent him encouragement… without further ado. Yes, I sent him a message to encourage him after the game”
Along the same lines, the current technical director of the Catalans reflected that “these are football situations, when it seemed that he was heading for Paris, Madrid showed his face and turned it around”.
“The Champions League is like that. When you lower the intensity a bit, the rival ends up running over you,” said Xavi, to later explain where he thinks the elimination of those commanded by Mauricio Pochettino happened.
“I think that’s what happened in that game (PSG lowered the intensity) and that’s why Madrid was able to qualify. A bad moment condemns you to the Champions League,” Xavi Hernández concluded with regret for Messi.
