Not a few consider the game Gavi too rough. Trainer Barcelona Xavi Hernandez Calling Gavi’s criticism unreasonable.
The 18-year-old midfielder has featured in all 17 of Barcelona’s LaLiga matches this season, starting 12 of them. Gavi provided two assists to help Barca top the standings by three points from reigning champions Real Madrid.
Even so, Gavi was listed as Barcelona’s “roughest” player having recorded 41 fouls, at least 22 more than any of his team-mates and third most in the competition. However, Gavi is also the most effective tackler on his team with an average of 1.65 per game, only losing to Sergio Busquets (1.73).
later Gavi highlighted because he often escaped punishment after making hard tackles, only being rewarded with three yellow cards. Xavi disagrees with criticism of Gavi because the referee makes the decisions. Xavi also accused Gavi of receiving different treatment while playing for Spain and Barcelona.
“The criticism seems ridiculous to me,” he blurted out Xavi launched Stats Perform. “Isn’t there a referee who decides? In the end, he’s the one who makes the decision.”
“That Gavi puts passion and guts into his game. I assume that it’s always the whistle that blows for a few fouls because of him. For me, it’s quite the opposite. He’s a player who gets fouled a lot, and the whistles are blown too little for him.”
“His impression when he played for the national team he was amazing, and when he played for Barcelona he went too far. It was an impression to me from the outside, I see. He is an example of tenacity and courage [untuk Spanyol] and when he was at Barca, he wasn’t like that, was he?”
“Well, that’s natural. It’s only natural. And on top of that, if we win, he’ll be even more unpopular. Yes, that’s it. Make Gavi, I said take it easy, keep the same passion, or even more daring and sacrifice… and he did not stop. He doesn’t have to slow down,” he said Xavi.
