This Sunday, September 22, at 20.30, the show “X Factor” will return to TV3 viewers with its fifth season. Young talents from all over Latvia will start the fight for 10,000 euros and a contract with the music recording company “Universal Music Group”.
The musical competition in “X Factor” will take place in three stages for 12 programs: in the first stage, the participants will meet in “Television Selections”, where you can get to know the brightest participants and their performance, in the second stage, the best will meet in “Chair Challenges”, which will decide who will go home and who will fight for victory, while 12 finalists will compete in the final stage – “Live Finals”.
In the first TV selection show, 18 participants will take the stage and try to convince the mentors that their voice sounds, originality, image or personality deserve to get to the next round of selection. Participants familiar from the past seasons will take the stage, as well as new participants who will sing songs from the repertoire of domestic artists, world hits and also their own original songs. Currently, Masaki Nakagawa – a musician from Japan who fell in love with Latvia eight years ago and has been learning the Latvian language by singing Latvian songs – is claiming the status of the most interesting participant.
Unlike the previous ones, this season will be special in that the participants will not be divided into categories by age and gender, which means that there will be more competition not only among the participants, but also among the mentors, since any young aspirant will be able to get to any mentor. The mentors of the show will be the previous ones – Aija Auškāpa, Marats Ogleznevs, Reinis Sējāns and Intars Busulis.
Statistically, 3,173 new contestants have already appeared on the “X Factor” stage in the past four years!
