The second day of auditions Factor X in Telecinco he once again sat at the jury table Vanesa Martín, Willy Bárcenas, Lali Espósito and Abraham Mateo to give the three yeses to artists who would try to be part of their teams.
Willy Bárcenas faces ‘X Factor’ with Vanesa Martín: “I was very surprised that they counted on me”
Last week, each one opened their bets with a solo contestant or a group within their side: Zoe was Willy’s choice, Teete was Vanesa’s choice, the Soul group went with Lali and Abraham opted for Jaqui Lin.
And this time, the lucky ones were Awy, Coral, Jurgen y Divine who joined the teams of Willy, Abraham, Lali and Vanesa, respectively.
All of this on a night in which, in addition to those chosen, two performances also stood out. The first was a flamenco version of the Eurovision song ‘Zorra’. It was sung by Alejandro Torres, a painter from Albacete who dreams of devoting himself to music.
Before starting to sing, he regretted that the chosen song had not been “understood very well for its meaning and purpose” but it came to him. That’s why he started to cover it, guitar in hand, and convinced the networks, although not so much the jury because Willy and Vanesa told him “no.”
The second contestant who surprised was Mariceli Rodríguezwho came saying that it had been a “girlfriend of Abraham Mateo. Because he fell in love with her at the Veo Veo Awards,” when he was 7 years old. The artist did not remember it but when he saw a video of those awards he began to doubt: “There was a flirt there and it could be.”
The young woman stepped on the stage thanking her for the opportunity and Abraham ran to hug her: “How long my darling, my ex-girlfriend Mariceli has appeared! We all have a past, mine when I was 7 years old was tough…,” she joked.
The artist started with a group that accompanied her, to cover ‘With permission good afternoon’. A performance that she even lifted up the audience. “It has enchanted me”, Abraham said, as well as Willy and Vanesa.
“I thank you and I am very excited to see you again. Although we have changed, I see that we are the same” Mariceli ended up saying to her “ex-boyfriend”.
