Residents of Wuppertal will be able to go to the polls again when the operation to neutralize the projectile is completed.
Authorities in the city of Wuppertal in western Germany have called on residents to temporarily refrain from visiting sites for voting for the new Bundestag due to a WWII bomb disposal operation, Die Zeit reports on September 26.
According to the newspaper, there are five polling stations within a radius of 500 meters from the discovered shell. Residents of Wuppertal will be able to go to the polls again when the operation to neutralize the projectile is completed.
A World War II bomb was found near Wuppertal the day before. On Sunday night, rescuers evacuated about 1.5 thousand residents of nearby houses within a radius of 250 meters.
