On April 17th, WWE Raw showcased an action-packed event, featuring the much-anticipated return of Brock Lesnar after his attack on Cody Rhodes. Wrestling enthusiasts were also treated to a non-title match between U.S. Champion Austin Theory and Bobby Lashley, among other exciting matchups. Not to mention, Trish Stratus made a surprise appearance to shed light on her attack on Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins faced off against The Miz. In this article, we bring you Powell’s live review of the 4/17 WWE Raw results, covering all the highlights and lowlights of the show.

This week’s episode of WWE Raw was packed with action, as some of the biggest stars in the company took to the ring to fight it out for supremacy. The show, which was broadcast live from the Simmons Bank Arena in North Little Rock, Arkansas, saw several intense matches, along with some dramatic surprises and unexpected twists and turns.

The show got off to a great start with Kevin Patrick welcoming viewers to the event and being joined on commentary by Corey Graves. The first segment saw Jimmy Uso, Jey Uso, Solo Sikoa, and Paul Heyman make their entrance and get introduced by ring announcer Mike Rome. The crowd cheered loudly as the Bloodline members made their way down to the ring.

Jey Uso addressed the audience and let them know that “The Bloodline is in your city.” Heyman then took the mic and introduced himself as the special counsel to Roman Reigns, also stating that he was honored to be appointed the wise man of The Bloodline. Heyman talked about how history would unfold that night, but he was interrupted by the “Judgment Day” faction of Rhea Ripley, Dominik Mysterio, Damian Priest, and Finn Balor.

The two groups stood opposite each other in the ring and exchanged some heated words. Heyman talked down to Solo Sikoa, who locked eyes with Damian Priest. Heyman went on to say that if there’s a heaven, none of them were getting into it. He then talked about a short-term deal that was engineered by Reigns, which caused a stir between the two factions.

After some back and forth, The Bloodline and Judgment Day agreed to collaborate temporarily, setting up a series of exciting matches. Heyman mentioned that Judgment Day had an issue with Bad Bunny that Sikoa would take care of. Meanwhile, The Bloodline had problems with Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens, and Matt Riddle, and Heyman announced that Zayn, Owens, and Riddle would face Judgment Day during Raw.

The first match of the night was Solo Sikoa vs. Rey Mysterio. The two put on a great performance, with Rey performing an early springboard crossbody block and getting a one count. Sikoa stood up and quickly put Rey down with an uppercut. A short time later, Sikoa put Rey in Electric Chair position. Rey threw punches at Sikoa’s head and then performed a head-scissors that sent both men over the top rope and down to ringside.

Sikoa eventually took the win after hitting the Samoan Spike and scoring the pin. After the match, the Usos returned to rough up some members of the LWO, while Sikoa hit more Samoan Spikes. The Bloodline trio stood tall over the LWO members.

The second match of the night was Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair vs. Dakota Kai, which was a non-title match. The sequence before the commercial break was a bit rough, but the match improved after the break. Belair went over clean while Kai looked competitive in defeat.

The third segment of the show saw a video package recapping Brock Lesnar attacking Cody Rhodes on the Raw after WrestleMania 39. Cody Rhodes made his entrance and called out Brock Lesnar. Adam Pearce walked out and said that Cody wasn’t medically cleared to be there. Pearce asked him to clear the ring because he wasn’t medically cleared. Cody left the ring but then pulled out a chair and returned to the ring, causing a stir.

Brock Lesnar’s entrance theme played, and he walked out wearing a black hat and a black trench coat. Pearce told Cody that he would give him a match with Lesnar at WWE Backlash and begged him not to fight him that night. Lesnar took off his hat and mocked Cody from the stage by motioning for him to come get him. Cody roughed up the security guards in the ring with a chair, and the segment ended on an intense note.

In the end, this week’s episode of WWE Raw was jam-packed with action and excitement, thanks to the incredible talent and energy of the wrestlers who took part.
