WWE punishes monetized posts on Twitter and Instagram – Another new signing: Top British talent signs with WWE – Main event announced for this week’s “Friday Night Smackdown” issue

– According to a report by WrestlingInc, WWE is now punishing talents who mention the names of third parties in their posts on Twitter or Instagram. This includes brands, people and charity projects. To be precise, the company is concerned that the talents should no longer earn money on their own with posts on Twitter and Instagram. As long as a post is not monetized, there is no problem. A warning is issued for a first offense, a fine for a second offense and, finally, a suspension for a third offense. Due to contractual clauses, WWE claims the Twitter and Instagram accounts of the talents for itself, regardless of whether they run under the WWE name or the real name of the person. Talents who complained about the new regulations were told that the current “flexibility” in social media could be further scaled back. A recent study by LoveUX found that Lana earned a total of $ 625,922 in 2020 from 59 sponsored posts on Instagram. Mandy Rose was $ 490,104 last year with 71 sponsored posts on Instagram. This new rule is an extension of the restrictions introduced on Twitch and Cameo a few months ago.

– According to a report by talkSPORT, WWE has now signed British wrestler Millie McKenzie. This increases the number of talents hired by WWE in 2021 to at least 25! The 20-year-old was signed for the NXT UK Brand, for which she had already played a few matches in the summer of 2018. It is said that WWE officials have very high hopes for McKenzie. Like Meiko Satomura, she is said to be at the head of the NXT UK Women’s Division. The English born in Coventry is one of the women who were the focus of the “#SpeakingOut” movement last summer. Her case was about a previous relationship with former NXT UK superstar Travis Banks. It’s believed McKenzie didn’t sign with NXT UK sooner as Banks was still part of the roster. After Travis Banks was fired from WWE on charges last summer, the way was clear. Millie McKenzie made her debut in 2015 and has worked for PROGRESS, wXw, RevPro, Sendai Girls and EVE in recent years.

– For this week’s edition of “Friday Night Smackdown” a 6 Man Tag Team Match between Kevin Owens, Daniel Bryan & Cesaro and Sami Zayn, King Baron Corbin & Jey Uso has been announced as the main event.
