The show starts with the first match of the evening.

1. Match
Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Semifinals – Tag Team Match
MSK (Wes Lee & Nash Carter) won against Legado Del Fantasma (Raul Mendoza & Joaquin Wilde) via pin to Wilde by Carter after a hard attack / blockbuster combination.
Match time: 12:57

In a vignette, Mercedes Martinez talks about her upcoming title match for the NXT Women’s Championship. She says Toni Storm is just a little girl and that Io Shirai’s reign has an expiration date.

2. Match
Singles Match
Xia Li (w / Boa & Tian Sha) won against Cora Jade (fka Elayna Black) via pin after a spinning kick in a squash match.
Match time: 00:45
– Kacy Catanzaro and Kayden Carter went to the pre-match stage to talk to Li about their transformation.

After the match, Carter goes to Sha and requests that she reveal her identity. Xia Li comes to her master’s aid and throws Carter off the ramp. Sha calls Boa to him and strangles him, then Catanzaro is attacked by Li. In the end, Li and Boa kneel in front of Master.

Scarlett is waiting for the British man in the office of NXT General Manager William Regal. She wants the match between Karrion Kross and Santos Escobar to take place next week. Regal is enthusiastic about the idea and books the match for “NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day”.

The Way (Johnny Gargano, Austin Theory, Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell) come to the ring and Gargano is injured. He is driven onto the stage in a wheelchair because he cannot walk because of a “broken arm”. In the ring, Gargano holds a promo, breathlessly, accusing Kushida of the injury. Due to the four fractures in his arm, he will not be able to defend his title next week and he is demanding that Kushida be suspended. NXT GM William Regal joins them and interrupts the NXT North American Champion. He won’t suspend the Japanese and, according to Regal, Gargano has ring clearance as he is completely injury-free. As an argument, Gargano shows an X-ray. Regal has to laugh because the picture shows a right arm while Gargano has his left arm in a sling.

Regal has heard enough and gives Gargano two options. Either he gives up the title or Theory has to defend the title in today’s match against Kushida. Kushida emerges from the background and attacks The Way. He has a little tug of war with Gargano for the title belt and lets him win. Gargano has used both arms and with that his feint is blown. The segment ends with a knockout punch by Kushida against the NXT North American Champion, who ends up in a wheelchair.

3. Match
Women’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Halbfinale – Tag Team Match
Shotzi Blackheart & Ember Moon won against The Way (Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell) via Pin and Hartwell by Blackheart after a top Rope Senton.
Match time: 14:14
– The final is Blackheart & Moon vs. Dakota Kai & Raquel Gonzalez.

4. Match
Singles Match
Kushida won against Austin Theory via DQ after an intervention by Johnny Gargano.
Match time: 11:58

After the match, Kushida is attacked by the heels. Suddenly Theory is pulled under the ring. Gargano takes off Kushida and pulls out the unknown person and he turns out to be Dexter Lumis. In the meantime, Theory has also come upstairs and is taken to an arm bar by Kushida in the ring. Gargano arrives and Kushida switches to hoverboard lock while Lumis chokes on theory. In the end, the Japanese poses with the NXT North American Championship while Lumis takes care of the theory.

Another vignette is called Imperium.

Backstage it is shown that Joaquim Wilde and Raul Mendoza have been eliminated. Karrion Kross arrives and addresses Escobar. He has the same fate as his two cronies.

Cameron Grimes comes in for a promo. He talks about being hurt by Timothy Thatcher. He used his break to play video games and bought shares in Gamestop. As a result, he got rich and his wealth kept growing. He now has more money than Elon Musk and it is funny how much money he has. Grimes throws money in the ring and makes a snow angel in his money.

Io Shirai will also receive a vignette for her title match. According to Shirai, Storm has not yet reached the level to become the title holder. Mercedes Martinez’s journey has been 20 years and the end is a long way off. In the end, she’ll lift her title.

5. Match
Men’s Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic – Semifinals – Tag Team Match
Grizzled Young Veterans (James Drake & Zack Gibson) won against Timothy Thatcher & Tommaso Ciampa via Pin to Ciampa through Gibson after the Ticket To Mayhem.
