WWE NXT 2.0 #2
Ort: Capitol Wrestling Center im WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida, USA
First broadcast: September 21, 2021

The issue opens with a look back at what happened in last week’s issue before we see the NXT intro. Then we are greeted by Vic Joseph, at his side, as always, Wade Barrett and Beth Phoenix.

The ring is filled with new, young superstars: Trick Williams, Carmelo Hayes, Odyssey Jones, Joe Gacy, Brooks Jensen, Josh Briggs and Bron Breakker. In addition, there is NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa, who briefly talks about what it was like to chase the title again and that it was all worth it before he devotes himself to the other people in the ring who are ready to show their skills to the world. But with all the new colors and faces – Ciampa still recognizes NXT. The fans, the commentators, the wrestlers, all of this is NXT, 2.0 or not. Together they are … NXT! Cameron Grimes arrives and says his energy is so high that he needs the NXT title to get “to the moon”. But he’s quickly interrupted by Gacy and then LA Knights Music, who wants to start a promo but is reminded by Jones that he lost twice last week. Finally there are Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland. Dunne initially insults those present in the ring, but is then attacked by Ciampa. A big brawl ensues, and Duke Hudson or the Grizzled Young Veterans join in. In the end, Bron Breakker and Ciampa are still in the ring.

Backstage, Kay Lee Ray discusses with Amari Miller and “B-Fab” Briana Brandy with Elektra Lopez. Another brawl breaks out that officials can resolve. Back in the ring, Ciampa and Breakker are still preventing Dunne and Holland from getting back into the ring. Breakker grabs a microphone and challenges the two to a match later that evening.

– Diamond Mine repeatedly distracted the referee to intervene in the match, this was also the case at the finish.

After the match, Bivens congratulates the new champion and Diamond Mine celebrates until Grayson Waller comes out. He realized that NXT was a jungle, but if anyone was built for the jungle, it’s him. Instead of waiting backstage for a chance, he prefers to come out and look for one. He wants a match for Strong’s title. Bivens is irritated by the interruption and briefly consults with Strong before they accept the challenge.

A vignette about Tony D’Angelo is imported. “Coming soon”.

Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs are sending an alert to the rest of the NXT Tag Team Division.

Next up will be the debut of Singapore’s first WWE Superstar, Dante Chen.

We see Xyon Quinn entering the arena at the side of two female wrestlers. He holds the door open for the ladies, but someone wants to jostle in front. However, Quinn prevents this by giving him one.

Jones has the face of a loser, but Andre Chase University only teaches success. A student finds out that Chase lost to Jones in the tournament, but is expelled from the classroom by Chase.

Beth Phoenix tells us that Kyle O’Reilly is still out with a rib injury after the attack by Pete Dunne and Ridge Holland, commentators wish him and Triple H a speedy recovery.

Cameron Grimes holds a short promo, he’s next in the ring. Gacy also has a few wise words ready in the ring before the next match starts.

We see a vignette from Von Wagner who, after last week’s failure, does not want to spend long with them, but wants to continue working.

5. Match
Singles Match
Elektra Lopez (w / Legado del Fantasma) wins against Anna Scheer via pinfall after a sit-down powerbomb.
Match time: 01:31

After the match, Santos Escobar grabbed a microphone and brought Lopez over. You have class, elegance and the power to demand calm and respect. They complete Legado del Fantasma. Lopez takes the microphone and says this was just a taste of her power. She’ll show that to B-Fab and NXT 2.0. She has other niceties ready for B-Fab, but she doesn’t get very far until Hit Row comes out, albeit without B-Fab – Lopez can attack from behind seconds later. The ladies can hardly be separated from the stable members.

Trey Baxter is backstage trying to come to terms with his loss to Dante Chen. Cora Jade arrives and says he’s still her superhero and gives him a kiss, which puts a smile on Baxter’s face.

Franky Monet, Robert Stone and Jessi Kamea are backstage when NXT Women’s Champion Raquel Gonzalez joins them, who has just left General Manager William Regal’s office. She says her title match is scheduled for next week. Monet replies that Gonzalez should enjoy her final week as champion. Lash Legend is now leaving Regal’s office, saying that her talk show, Lashing Out, will also debut next week. And it will be bigger than the title match.

6. Match
2-on-1-Handicap Match
Odyssey Jones wins against Cary Millman & Darren Chiapetta via pinfall on both opponents after a splash from the top ring rope.
Match time: 02:41

– Andre Chase watched the match from the ramp.

After the match, Chase tries to launch a chair attack, but Jones is able to block it, which quickly scares Chase and makes him run away.

Grayson Waller is backstage when he is approached by Carmelo Hayes and Trick Williams. Hayes warns Waller that he has his contract ready. Even if he does win the Cruiserweight Championship, he shouldn’t get too used to the belt. Toxic Attraction pass by, much to the pleasure of Williams.

Toxic Attraction goes straight to the ring, but first we see a vignette from Ikemen Jiro, who shows us his wardrobe. He does not stand for Strong Style, but for “Style Strong”. Ikemen means handsome man and as such he needs nice jackets.

But now we’re back in the ring, Mandy Rose grabs a microphone and says that the division needed a woman like her. A woman nobody can have, but who everyone likes to look at. She blames viewers for not doing anything when she was attacked. She was treated like Gigi Dolin and Jacy Jayne – but they don’t care what the fans think and have shown her that a beast lurks behind her beauty. She is the future of the NXT 2.0 Women’s Division, with the two women by her side. Dolin and Jayne now also take the microphone and talk about passion, that they are unbeatable and will soon be at the forefront of NXT 2.0. They don’t wait for a possibility, they create one for themselves. Therefore they are now hunting for the tag team titles of Io Shirai and Zoey Stark.

Mitchell stands backstage with the NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions. Shirai states that she doesn’t like any of the women, but if they want a title match, please. Stark feels left out in the decision, but ultimately agrees. They are interrupted by Persia Pirotta, who says she wants a match for the title after Hartwell’s honeymoon.

7. Match

Bron Breakker & Tommaso Ciampa win against Pete Dunne & Ridge Holland via the Breakker pin to Holland after a powerslam.
Match time: 12:24

– Kyle O’Reilly showed up shortly before the end to prevent the heels from using Holland’s baton, which allowed the Faces to win.
