WWE Monday Night RAW: Coverage and Results for March 1, 2021

Monday Night Raw opens with a summary of what happened around the WWE Championship with The Miz, Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre. Tonight, The Miz will defend the title against Lashley. Also, Drew McIntyre will face Sheamus next.

Drew McIntyre take the floor before your fight. He assures that his fight with Sheamus will be a war and invites the public to stay and see him. Review the end of WWE Elimination Chamber, where Lashley’s attack left him destroyed for The Miz to redeem the Money in the Bank briefcase and become WWE Champion. “I have a mission in my head, and it is simple. To regain the championship and be the main event of Wrestlemania,” says Drew. As for Sheamus, he wants to face him right now because he thinks there is nothing more to say.

The Miz y John Morrison come out on stage. They both ask why there is so much annoyance with him, when seeing the bearer of the briefcase become champion is the most natural thing to do. “You should be mad at Bobby Lashley,” Miz insists. Drew says he won’t do his dirty work for him, he will have to take care of Lashley alone. Several referees try to stop them but McIntyre connects a Clothesline that sends Sheamus to the other side of the barricade.

The bell rings and they go to blows all over the ring. Sheamus takes the lead and launches with a DIving Knee but it is not enough. Drew responds with a Suplex and corners Sheamus with blows. McIntyre applies Sheamus’ blows to the chest, but the Celtic Warrior quickly goes on the attack and with a Brogue Kick takes him out of the ring. Returning from commercials, Sheamus punches Drew’s jaw and hits his Ten Beats of the Bodhran. The action moves to ringside where Drew throws Sheamus hard against the edge of the commentary table. McIntyre crashes him again and returns him to the ring. Flying Clothesline and a count of two about Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior goes up to the corner but Drew jumps with a Glassgow Kiss. After another pause, they continue to exchange blows in the ring. Drew’s Spinebuster and another count of two. Sheamus’ Knee Strike which is not enough either, as is the later White Noise. McIntyre prepares to finish, but Sheamus steps down from the ring and approaches to punish him with the top rope. Drew applies a variant of the White Noise from the second string and looks for the bead. Sheamus almost got the victory with the Alabama Slam, but Drew got up and stopped the Brogue Kick with the Claymore for the count of three.

Naomi is dancing backstage and meets Nia Jax. They face each other before meeting.

Jax takes control at the start of the fight thanks to his strength. He connects a Samoan Drop but does not look for the account, instead speaking to Lana who is at ringside. Dura Powerbomb Naomi for a count of three.

Bobby Lashley comes out to have his match, but The Miz doesn’t show up. Backstage, John is with the champion, who says he feels bad and is unable to compete. Adam Pearce appears and gives Miz another hour to fight, and assures that even if he has to drag him to the ring himself, the fight will happen.

Strowman dominates from the beginning of the match. Take the rivals out of the ring and roll them out. Braun punches and tramples Cedric as he returns to the ring. Braun charges but Cedric dodges him causing him to crash into the post. Shelton’s Knee Strike. Cedric joins in to hit the monster. Running Powerslam for Shelton. Shane climbs to the edge of the ring to yell at Braun to take over from Adam. Strowman is upset but relents. Adam enters with doubts, looks for the pin but Shelton turns it and achieves the count of three.

Braun Strowman angrily yells at Shane McMahon and leaves.

Bad Bunny y Damian Priest they speak backstage. Elias and Jaxson Ryker approach them. Elias insists that they record a song together, talking for a long time. Bad Bunny responds in Spanish to Priest, so that he releases an aggressive “no” to Elias.

Priest quickly takes control of the match and takes Elias out of the ring. After the break, Elias responds in the ring. Priest knocks him down and controls his knee against Elias’s face. The Miz steps out into the ring and tries to avoid combat, saying that Bobby Lashley deserves his shot on another bigger stage. However, MVP rejects the idea and asks to start the meeting.

The Miz is still champion.

Shane McMahon talks to Bobby Lashley and MVP. He says he’s also upset with the result, although technically Lashley had his match. Shane says he is considering taking the championship away from The Miz. The champion must defend his title against Lashley before the next hour, or he will be stripped of it.

Charlotte Flair goes out to the ring. He says Wrestlemania is just a few weeks away and he’s unrivaled. She wants to go for the Raw Women’s Championship, but Asuka is injured after her last match. “When I come back, I’ll challenge her,” Charlotte said but is interrupted.

Shayna Baszler y Nia Jax they come out to face her. Shayna scoffs at kicking Asuka’s tooth out, and laughs that Charlotte doesn’t have a partner. “Nobody loves you,” Nia says to Charlotte. She affirms that the power is no longer in her hands, and that the next challengers will be her or Shayna. Charlotte responds that they may not want her, but she doesn’t need to prove anything because she is Charlotte Flair. Jax and Shayna enter the ring to attack her.

Shayna controls the match when she returns from the break. Naomi and Lana watch from backstage. Baszler connects several kicks but fails to land a Suplex. Charlotte goes on to punish Shayna’s leg. Nia climbs to the side of the ring but Flair quickly knocks her down with one blow. She looks for the Figure Four but Shayna takes her out of the ring. Jax tries to run her over but Flair dodges her causing her to crash against the metal steps. Charlotte falls into the Kirifuda Clutch but manages to escape and make the pin.

RETRIBUTION (T-Bar, Mace & Slapjack) vs. Riddle & Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado & Gran Metalik)

T-Bar comes out aggressively and applies a Chokebreaker on Riddle. RETRIBUTION maintains control over Riddle with various relays. Finally, Lince Dorado enters and connects a Crossbody to Slapjack. Superkick and stop Metalik, who stands on Lince’s shoulders to dive into Diving Elbow on Slapjack.
Winners: Riddle & Lucha House Party.

Mustafa Ali is furious with RETRIBUTION again. He yells at Riddle not to go away and confront him right now, to show RETRIBUTION how a match is won. Riddle enters defiantly and the referee stops him.

Riddle lands a Gutwrench Suplex at the start, which infuriates Ali. Mustafa goes on the attack hurting Riddle’s arm and taking control. Riddle responds with an offensive steamroller. Pele Kick, Broton, PK, leave Ali lying down and look for height. Slapjack and Mace distract him when he is in the corner, Ali takes the opportunity to attack him and cover him.

The Miz talks to Shane McMahon and Adam Pearce in his office. Miz insists that he did what a good champion would have done, and that they should take more care of him since he is a star. Shane sticks with his idea of ​​me defending the title in a few minutes.
