Tonight’s show kicks off with a recap of last week’s I Quit Beat the Clock Challenge, between Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rouse, before we are greeted by Uniondale commentators Pat McAfee and Michael Cole. Before her match against Rousey at Wrestlemania Backlash, SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair will face Aliyah again today. Before the match starts, however, Flair turns to the audience. She lashes out at Long Island before talking about the past week. She tries to find excuse after excuse to justify her defeat. On Sunday, Rousey will say “I Quit” and embarrass himself. It wouldn’t surprise her if Rousey left WWE after that. Flair promises Aliyah that she will treat her the same as Ronda Rousey before launching an attack. Meanwhile, the match that was announced moments ago appears to be canceled as Ronda Rousey himself emerges, causing a brawl to break out. Several officials try to separate the two with little success. Ultimately, it is Flair who takes flight.
In another flashback, we see the events surrounding the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. Then it was time for the actual first match of the night.
1. Match
Singles Match
Shayna Baszler (w/ Natalya) defeated Sasha Banks (w/ Naomi) via pin after a roll-in enhanced by both the ropes and Natalya.
Match time: 08:18
After the match, Baszler and Natalya launch an attack on Banks and Naomi. However, the Faces can quickly fight back and drive away the heels.
Following is a flashback to the events surrounding the signing of the contract between RK-Bro and the Usos. Backstage at Kayla Braxton we now see the Usos. The time for talking is over, now action should follow. After the Bloodline win Sunday’s 6-man tag team match, Jey promises his brother a new pair of Nike “Air Force Ones” because they are “The Ones!” after all.
For the next segment, Happy Corbin enters the ring.
After the commercial break, the RAW Tag Team Champions are now interviewed. Orton promises that the Usos shouldn’t worry about what kind of shoes to buy. After all, they’re in the ring with RK-Bro!
Now it’s time for the Happy Talk. Corbin wants to tell us what he’s going to do to Moss on Wrestlemania Backlash, but is immediately interrupted by said Moss. How long has Corbin been making music? He looks like the leader of a pit bull cover band. More jokes were to follow, but Corbin now interrupts. He wants Moss to come to the ring, which Moss doesn’t need to be asked a second time. Moss continues to crack jokes in the ring. He would like to advise Corbin to go back to his Lone Wolf gimmick. But wolves have hair. In the end it was one joke too many and a dejected Corbin exits the ring.
We now see how Drew Gulak’s various internships went. However, these were not successful, neither as an interviewer nor as a timekeeper, nor as Adam Pearce’s personal assistant. That’s why Gulak will now return to the ring to face off against an as yet unknown opponent today. We’re smarter after a commercial break. Ludwig Kaiser appears on the stage and announces the ring to General Gunther.
2. Match
Singles Match
Gunther (w/ Ludwig Kaiser) defeated Drew Gulak via pin after a powerbomb.
Match time: 02:05
Ladies and gentlemen, your winner: The Ring General! So Ludwig Kaiser after the match.
We now see Shinsuke Nakamura backstage with Megan Morant. Nakamura talks about not forgetting what the Bloodline did to him and his tag team partner. One day he will get his hands on Roman Reigns, and Reigns will never be able to forget that. Sami Zayn can also be seen watching Nakamura from a safe distance.
Meanwhile, Drew McIntyre also made it to the interview and promises to give us and Roman Reigns a beating.
A big question floating around is “#WhereIsButch?”. Former Pete Dunne has gone missing after escaping last week. We don’t get an answer to this question for now, because now it’s time for the tables match.
3. Match
Tables Tag Team Match
Sheamus & Ridge Holland defeated The New Day (Kofi Kingston & Xavier Woods) via stipulation after Xavier Woods was promoted through Holland and Sheamus through a table.
Match time: 13:05
-After about 12 minutes, the missing butch suddenly comes out from under the ring to give the heels the advantage.
Now Paul Heyman is being interviewed by Kayla Braxton. Heyman again insinuates that Braxton is flirting with him. Heyman is, but interrupted by Zayn. Zayn slips Heyman what he overheard from Shinsuke Nakamura earlier. He suggests that Heyman let Reigns know about it, but he takes care of Nakamura. In this way he could increase his reputation again. Heyman agrees to the “deal”.
After a commercial break, Adam Pearce is now interrupted by Sami Zayn. Zayn demands a match against Shinsuke Nakamura next week. However, Pearce has a better idea. Sami Zayn vs. Shinsuke Nakamura up next!
It follows Chapter 5 of the story of Lacey Evans. She talks about how her father died of an overdose and how several members of her family tried to commit suicide. She always wanted to be successful for her family. Despite all these obstacles, she made it this far. She’s a WWE Superstar and soon to be SmackDown Women’s Champion. The ring announcer commands the respect of the fans before announcing Lacey Evans on the floor. Evans celebrates a bit before she disappears again.
Before we get to see the next match, let’s see a vignette on Raquel Rodriguez.
4. Match
Singles Match
Sami Zayn defeated Shinsuke Nakamura via countout.
Match time: 09:18
Now there’s only one thing left for tonight’s show. The face to face segment between RK-Bro and Drew McIntyre and the Bloodline. Babyfaces come to the ring first. The three make fun of Roman Reigns. They tell each other what they “acknowledge”. For example, Riddle “acknowledges” that Orton has the strongest legs in WWE. McIntyre states that Roman Reigns is the biggest “piece of crap” he knows. Then the Bloodline comes out. Reigns seems reluctant to say just one word. Instead, the two factions stare down before a brawl breaks out. After a good back and forth, however, Orton, Riddle, and McIntyre finally got the upper hand and are able to drive off Reigns and the Usos. With these pictures today’s show goes off air.
