Kayla Braxton has Paul Heyman as a guest backstage right at the beginning of the show and wants to know what happened there last week. Heyman replies that he simply told Reigns a truth that Reigns didn’t want to hear. Braxton asks if Heyman regrets telling the truth. After a moment’s consideration, Heyman denies this, because that was ultimately his job. He wanted to explain himself after the termination, but the Bloodline had already been busy distributing his belongings in the hallways of the arena. Now that this section is over, Heyman is considering a possible end of his career.
Commentators Michael Cole and Pat McAfee finally welcome the fans from the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, USA to this year’s Christmas edition of “Friday Night SmackDown”.

At the end of the segment, the main event of the show is set. The two trios will face each other in a street fight.
A review of Xia Li’s debut two weeks ago is shown. Li is now backstage and claims to have had to assert herself against women like Natalya all her life. But she doesn’t fear them, she fights against them.
