WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1150

This week we are greeted by commentators Michael Cole and Corey Graves, who first report that Pat McAfee is on the mend and is in good spirits despite the corona infection. The show itself will be opened by Jimmy and Jey Uso, who come to the ring while “Head of the Table” Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman are watching backstage on a monitor.
Jey takes the floor and announces the arrival of “Bloodline”, who now have to deal with the street profits after interfering in family matters over the past week. You have disrespected Reigns and the Bloodline in general. He is interrupted by the Street Profits, who make fun of the Usos and ask if they are allowed to stand in the ring …
1. Match
Tag Team Match – Non Title
Street Profits (Montez Ford & Angelo Dawkins) won against The Usos (Jimmy & Jey Uso) (c) via DQ as Jimmy stayed in the ring and continued the attack on Ford despite not being the official wrestler.
Match time: 08:00
After the match, the Usos attack Angelo Dawkins outside the ring, but Montez Ford can bring a dive to the finish and put the Usos to flight. Roman Reigns, who has followed the events with disinterest, asks Heyman to bring him his cousins.
Paul Heyman leaves the locker room, but is stopped by Kayla Braxton, who wants to capture a mood picture. But suddenly Brock Lesnar’s entrance music sounds – as a ringtone on Paul Heyman’s cell phone. He finally takes the call, promises to deliver the message and wants to move on, but apparently meets a “caretaker”, who turns out to be Big E, who laughs and points to his Money in the Bank suitcase.
SmackDown Women’s Champion Becky Lynch comes out and is largely cheered – some boos appear to be coming off the line. In the past week she couldn’t talk about Bianca Belair because half the locker room caused an interruption, but now she finds words of praise and describes Belair as an impressive athlete. Nonetheless, Belair was not prepared; unlike Belair, Lynch had not lost any of his skills despite her absence.
Bianca Belair comes to the ring beaming and talks about how much the title reign meant to her. Her name went down in the history books, but she was humiliated in 26 seconds at SummerSlam. But she refrains from a verbal exchange of blows, she doesn’t want to badmouth a woman in order to present herself better. Belair promises to regain the title and work for her rematch, as Lynch will not simply agree to another match. Belair urges Lynch to follow Roman Reigns as an example and defend the title tonight, but Lynch says she doesn’t care what Roman Reigns is doing and leaves the ring.
Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler walk through the backstage area and meet Toni Storm. Ziggler says goodbye to Roode and turns to Storm to offer her a front row seat for his match. Storm refuses and says to cheer for Boogs tonight.

Singles Match
Rick Boogs (w / King Nakamura) won against Dolph Ziggler (w / Robert Roode) via pin after a pump handle slam.

Becky Lynch is visited backstage by Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville, who want to talk to Lynch about a potential title defense. Lynch doesn’t want to defend the title against Belair until she’s ready, but Deville sets the match for the Extreme Rules PPV on September 26th. A contract signing will take place at Madison Square Garden next week.
Seth Rollins is interviewed and asked why he called for the match against Cesaro. Rollins speaks of a new beginning, as Edge is an inspiration to him and he has watched all of his matches. He would now like to use the newly learned things against Cesaro …
3. Match
Singles Match
Cesaro beat Seth Rollins via DQ when Rollins fended off an uppercut with a chair.

After the match, Seth Rollins starts an attack against Cesaro, works him with a chair and breaks off a piece to take Cesaro into the crossface, just as Edge had done with Roman Reigns. Then he shows a stomp and puts the chair around Cesaro’s head, which calls to Edge, who comes running into the ring with a chair. Seth Rollins escapes in time and is satisfied.
We see Roman Reigns speaking to the Usos and demanding that they continue to stick to the plan. The brothers leave the room while Heyman tries to alert Reigns to a problem. Reigns has no problem (Heyman does), but Heyman reports that Brock Lesnar will be in Madison Square Garden for the coming week, he told him this by phone call, the first call in over a year. Reigns, however, questions how Heyman always seems to know exactly where Brock Lesnar would be …
“Happy” Baron Corbin appears at the show with his brand new car. He hands the keys over to interviewer Megan Morant, who is supposed to drive the car away without scratching his new treasure.
Edge is intercepted by Kayla Braxton to talk about Seth Rollins. He knows Rollins’ games, but those games have to stop. So he challenges Seth Rollins to another match next week at SmackDown in Madison Square Garden. He has already defeated Rollins once and he will defeat him again. Seth Rollins won’t be the same after that.
Kevin Owens comes into the ring to present a new edition of his talk show “The KO Show” starring Baron Corbin. The happy Corbin thanks for the invitation and is happy about his numerous expensive things, which he could not have afforded without the help of Owens. Corbin wonders if Owens would like his $ 100 back. Unfortunately he forgot his wallet in the car, but his “special guest” will help out: Logan Paul!
The YouTube star comes out and is happy to see the “WWE Universe” again and thanks Corbin for the invitation. Kevin Owens insults Logan Paul, who tried to give him back the money, and asks him to leave the ring. It indicates a physical confrontation, Owens and Paul push each other and Owens wants to start an attack on Paul, but Baron Corbin attacks Owens with the microphone and shows a chokeslam. “You’re not that guy” says Logan Paul to Kevin Owens, which ends the segment.
Backstage, we see Carmella, who, for reasons unknown, shows various poses. Liv Morgan sees Carmella, rolls her eyes and comments on the scene with a “Seriously?”

Sami Zayn won against Domink Mysterio via pin after the Helluva kick.

After the match, Rey Mysterio comes out to speak to his frustrated son …
Backstage, we see Sonya Deville handling calls regarding Brock Lesnar’s return for the coming week. Deville is approached by Naomi, who complains that she was promised a match this week. Deville apologizes and asks Naomi to speak to her again in the coming week.
Kayla Braxton would like to get a quick impression of Finn Balor before he competes for the WWE Universal Champion. Balor says people always ask him what would have happened if he hadn’t injured himself when he won his first title. Well, tonight he’ll answer that question.
Finn Balor makes his way into the ring, but is suddenly attacked by the Usos who push Balor against the ring stairs. He is worked outside the ring, thrown against the barricade and attacked with the upper part of the ring staircase. Then he is thrown into the ring and the street profits come out to prevent worse. They chase away the Usos who flee through the rows of spectators.
Roman Reigns comes out with Paul Heyman while Balor is receiving medical treatment, but Balor still wants to play the match …

Roman Reigns (w / Paul Heyman) (c) beat Finn Balor via referee stoppage after Balor lost consciousness in the guillotine choke.
