Michael Cole welcomes us to Friday Night SmackDown, while the current champions of the show pose on stage, only Roman Reigns is not present. Cole introduces his co-commentator, Pat McAfee, before Sonya Deville welcomes us out of the ring again. She affirms that, as we have reported, WWE will leave ThunderDome in July and go on tour again. Apollo Crews interrupts Deville at the single performance of the champions and complains again that he has to defend his title today. Still, he promises to defend his title. Deville is irritated, but then announces Roman Reigns. But it is Paul Heyman who comes out with a microphone in hand instead of Reigns. He makes fun of the “Parade of Champions”. Because while there are six titleholders here, Reigns is much more – THE champion and the figurehead of the WWE and the entire sport of entertainment. That is why Reigns is not here in the “Parade of Champions”, because he is not one of many. After Heyman’s departure, Bayley also disrupts the champions’ celebration and complains that her person is not being celebrated. She carried the company while setting record after record. She insults all champions present except crews. Of course, she has a few selected niceties left for Belair and asks Deville to revoke the title of the “criminal” Belair for her cheating in the last matches. Belair has heard enough and runs to Bayley in the ring, but is attacked by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. Tamina and Natalya want to make the safe, but the heels can prevail. Big E is interviewed and says he’s in a good mood. Because today he is in a great match in which he wants to prove that he is one of the best. And for that he wants to win today and leave the arena with the Intercontinental Championship.

Aleister Black presents the next chapter – “beautiful pain”. Because pain would be honest and the truth. Pain represents the sins we all represent. We would all be blind, sick, and dying animals. And Black’s job is to bring the herd together and separate the strong from the weak.

“King” Corbin is not enthusiastic about looking back at the disrespectful actions of Shinsuke Nakamura last week when he stole his crown. Therefore, he will now punish the Japanese and recapture his crown. But the result is Rick Boogs with his electric guitar to rock with Nakamura. He plays his entrance music on the electric guitar while he (with crown) goes to the ring.

– Shortly before the finish, Boogs reunited Nakamura’s theme, which Corbin was decisively distracted by.

Jimmy Uso is with Sonya Deville and says the Usos are back in the race and want to compete against the street profits. Deville is puzzled and asks if Jey is there too. Jimmy replies that otherwise he wouldn’t ask. So Deville promises him a match against Street Profits next week.

Roman Reigns comes out with Paul Heyman and Jey Uso at his side. Before he can speak, Kevin Owens is hyping tonight’s main event, where he’ll be crowned Intercontinental Champion for the third time.

A review of the match between Cesaro and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash is shown.

Reigns says he is a humble man, so there is no way he wants to show off on TV. That’s why Heyman will now take over, celebrate him now. Of course, he does this with pleasure and lists all the successes and achievements of Reigns since his long break. Heyman then states that Reigns’ wishes are his orders and he wants to know what else he can do. Reigns wants him to bring his cousin Jimmy over here, but Cesaro comes out. He was looking for Seth Rollins backstage, but heard Heyman’s silly babble. The two exchange ideas until Cesaro is attacked from behind by Rollins. This focuses on the Swiss man’s injured arm and can also show his curb stomp twice.

After the commercial, Rollins is interviewed when Cesaro is rolled past him on a stretcher. Rollins yells at him why he would make him the man he doesn’t want to be.

Another flashback is shown, this time about the Mysterios’ title win, before the new champions march to the ring. The party is interrupted by Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, who again badmouthed Dominik Mysterio. This is followed by the following match:

Dominik Mysterio (w / Rey Mysterio) won against Robert Roode (w / Dolph Ziggler) via pin after the 619 / Frog Splash.

Jey is intercepted backstage by Jimmy Uso. Jimmy tells his brother about the next week’s tag team match. Jey is not thrilled and says that he should tell Roman Reigns about it. Jimmy tries to convince him again that he doesn’t need Reigns, but fails to reach Jey, who leaves his twin brother frustrated.

Roman Reigns sits in his locker room with Jey and Heyman after the commercial. Reigns is irritated by the fact that Jey speaks of himself and Jimmy as “we”, because he and Jey would be “we”. He takes Jey in his arms. This doesn’t seem like the last word has already been said about it.

The Street Profits make fun of the Usos and promise to really heat up the twins next week.

Kayla Braxton wants to interview former champion Sami Zayn, who is terribly upset about the word “former” because it is just trying to fill his head with negativity again. But against all odds, he will now get his title back.

Apollo Crews (c) (w / Commander Azeez) won against Sami Zayn, Kevin Owens and Big E via pin on Big E after Aleister Black’s Black Mass.
Match time: 21:53
– Big E had almost won the match after the big ending, but Commander Azeez pulled him out of the ring and prevented the cover from being given to crews.
– Just before the end of the match, the lights went out and Aleister Black came out. He shows the Black Mass against Big E, whereupon Crews could dust off the victory.
