The show opens with a look back at what happened between Roman Reigns and Kevin Owens.

Michael Cole then welcomes us to the last edition of SmackDown in front of the TLC-PPV.

Kevin Owens opens the show. He challenges Reigns to keep him company in the ring, but Reigns doesn’t. Owens therefore talks about last week and that he talked about everything with his family. She will not watch the match on TLC because he is afraid that they would see him differently if they saw what Owens Reigns was doing on Sunday. He also goes on to talk about Reigns and how he uses his family. Heyman can be faded in on the titantron. He thought Owens was a masochist, but he now sees him in a different light, he is a fighter who does everything to become champion, so he must be eliminated. Owens can no longer listen to the whole thing and goes in search of Reigns.

Adam Pearce pursues Owens and tries to prevent him from going into Reign’s cabin. But he doesn’t listen and wants to storm in, but the door is locked. At that moment Reigns comes to the ring, accompanied by Heyman. Owens sees this on a screen and shakes his head. Meanwhile, Reigns gets a microphone from Heyman. He claims to be not a bad man, he is just THE man. He asks Owens to stay in his role. But he would show Owens that he was a good man, Owens only had to accept him as Tribal Chief and as his “Head of the Table”. If he doesn’t, he won’t make it out of the arena here today. Owens has long been on his way and doesn’t look like he wants to apologize when he is attacked from behind by Jey Uso. He and Reigns use their outnumber to give KO a real rub. The two of them can only be stopped by several officials from beating him further.

After the advertisement, Jey Uso seems very satisfied, but Reigns is still angry because Owens will never understand and orders Uso to finally get rid of Owens.

1. Match
SmackDown Tag Team Championship
Tag Team Match
The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford) won against Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode via a pin from Ford to Roode after a scooter.
Match time: 11:34

– Roode rolled Ford up first, holding him by his pants to reinforce the pin. However, Ford was able to counter and used the trick successfully.

After the match, the losers discuss something with the referee before going through the rest of the evening’s matches.

Kevin Owens walks through the corridors with another referee and Adam Pearce before he is attacked from behind with a chair by Uso.

Kayla Braxton has Bianca Belair as a guest. They talk about their match against Bayley. Belair states that Bayley is not a role model. And she herself will shine again today.

2. Match
Tag Team Match
The Riott Squad (Ruby Riott & Liv Morgan) won against Billie Kay & Tamina via a pin from Morgan to Kay after a double team move.
Match time: 02:26

– Tamina had already won the match, but Kay came on and lost the match.

Carmella comes into the ring, the champagne and her maid are already there. It first shows a vocal interlude that is roughly on par with Sammy Guevara. Afterwards she wants to celebrate her title win with champagne on Sunday. Then she goes on about Sasha Banks. The only possibility for the champion would be to be disqualified, so she could celebrate today. After what feels like an eternity, Sasha Banks joins them, her henchman wants to catch her on the ramp, but Banks tries the champagne before she pours this Carmella in the face and takes it in the Banks statement. It comes as it has to, the numerical superiority is played out, Banks devotes himself to Carmella’s companions and Carmella smashes a bottle on her back.

Kevin Owens is being treated when he is attacked again by Uso. This time Owens flies through a table.

3. Match
Singles Match
Otis (w / Chad Gable) won against Shinsuke Nakamura (w / Cesaro) via pin after the Vader Bomb.
Match time: 02:25

– Gable coached Otis from outside. He interrupted the Otis Caterpillar, which almost cost them the match.

We see Sami Zayn preparing for his award ceremony. He’s still looking for something to polish the sculptures, Big E uses that to manipulate the envelopes a bit.

Otis and Gable talk backstage. Gable says Otis failed another test. He should have shown the Caterpillar, even if Gable said otherwise.

We see the first edition of the Sami Awards. There we learn that the Slammy Awards will be given on Wednesday next week, but these will only be given to the favorites of the top. The Sami Awards are given according to people’s opinion. We see a look back at 2020 wrestling which shows Zayn’s great moments. Comeback of the Year is won by – Sami Zayn! Match of the Year: Sami Zayn’s victory over Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles for the Intercontinental Championship! Superstar of the Year is .. Big E ?! This comes out full of enthusiasm and pushes Zayn away from the microphone, who can’t believe it. Of course there is a dispute a short time later that Big E can win. With a final “Thank you!” He goes backstage.

Kayla Braxton is seen again and has Bayley as a guest. She promises victory in the upcoming match.

4. Match
Singles Match
Bayley won against Bianca Belair via pin to the Rose Plant.
Match time: 10:30

– Bayley was about to be dealt with with a power bomb, but was able to reach Belair in the eye and thus initiate the final move.

After briefly talking about the matches at TLC, Reigns and Heyman come to the ring again, this time they have Jey Uso with them. He doesn’t understand how you can put a title power at risk in a PPV against him like that. Whose music is being played? Kevin Owens! He comes to the ring hobbling. Uso tries to intercept him, but Owens can handle him with a chair. In the ring he is then subject to numerical superiority. He flies through two tables again and is then buried in a pile of tables, ladders and chairs by Reigns and Uso. Reigns is interviewed backstage, but before he can be asked a question they see Owens straighten up again and speak to Roman on a screen. Nothing could keep him on the ground. He will either become Universal Champion on Sunday or die trying. A shocked Reigns leaves, the episode ends.
