WWE madness in Berlin!
… not only for the 13,149 fans in the sold-out Uber Arena. The “Bash in Berlin” was also a reason to celebrate for the American wrestling league.
As WWE commentator Sebastian Hackl officially announced during the show, the league has set a new revenue record for a WWE arena show with this show.
However, the WWE did not reveal how high the turnover was.

It was to be expected that the WWE would set a new record. The prices for tickets were sometimes astronomically high. At ringside, tickets cost several thousand euros. Normal seats in the lower tier were sometimes not available for less than 800 euros.
Bizarre: You could secure a seat on a bar stool in a lounge for 2000 euros.
As the prices for the last remaining tickets fell in the days leading up to the event, WWE was able to fill the place completely despite the mega prices – and set a new record.

With this record in their pocket, the fans’ expectations and hopes are naturally rising. After the event, voices were immediately raised claiming that the WWE would come to Germany again next year with a premium live event.

Gunther, who is actually Austrian but built his wrestling career in Germany, also played a major role in this. He was in the main event against WWE icon Randy Orton (44).

Goosebumps even after the show
After the official show was over, Gunther was allowed to say a few words to his fans.
“A little story. Many years ago, when I was competing against my friends every weekend in Germany, the WWE contacted me and said: Come on, let’s do something together. I said that I wanted to stay in Germany to build something here in Europe.
Triple H told me: ‘To build something, you have to become somebody. And I think I’ve become somebody.'”
